Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Dutch light bulb manufacturer Philips Lighting has announced that it will create 120 jobs at its shared services centre in Łódź. The centre was launched on 27 March 2018, and it is looking for financial specialists, managers as well as accounting specialists. The centre will provide financial and other back-office services to all Phillips Lighting’s units across Europe.
The company has been operating in Poland since 1991. Philips Lighting Poland employs about 7,000 people in factories located in four Polish cities (Piła, Bielsko-Biała, Kętrzyń, and Pabianice).
