Description

The steel group ArcelorMittal has announced the recruitment of more than 700 people in France in 2018. The company is looking for technical profiles of production and maintenance but also researchers, specialists in robotics, artificial intelligence and data scientists. The group is currently strengthening the internalisation of these maintenance activities, 'which require a very high level of expertise to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of industrial installations', explains ArcelorMitall.

Over the past three years, ArcelorMittal recruited more than 2,000 people in France (2015-2017), including a growing number of women: the latter accounted for 14.5% of hirings in 2017. The majority of recruitments are in permanent employment contract (58% in 2017). ArcelorMittal currently employs 15,840 employees in France in its 40 production sites and 199,000 worldwide.
