Description
Ricoh has presented a business transformation project that includes a job safeguard plan for 360 employees out of a total of 2,300. This is the most important social plan for the French subsidiary of the Japaneese group since 2013 where 338 and 315 job cuts were announced. The current reorganisation affects more than 15% of the workforce, mainly in support functions and back office. Sales teams are not affected. Ricoh France suffers from the deterioration of the printers market, at the heart of its business. To preserve its future, it wants to strengthen its position for provision of new services in the digital work environment.
Ricoh reached a turnover 500 million turnover in 2017, but in the last two years it has lost about 60 million in revenues.
