Description
The port container terminal ECT in the port of Rotterdam has announced it will hire 100 permanent operational staff, the first time to hire new personnel since 2008. In addition, ECTÂ will hire 75 temporary staff for the summer season. The new hires are necessary to meet increasing demand for container handling, which is the result of economic recovery and favourable dynamics among shipping company mergers and cooperations and shipping routes, bringing more container volume into the port of Rotterdam.
ECT is owned by Hutchison Ports, the world's largest port investor, with 52 ports spread across 26 countries globally.
