Description

Medtronic, an international manufacturer of medical equipment, has announced the closure of its facility in Opglabbeek. In total between 380-400 employees are at risk of dismissal. The facility was mainly responsible for distribution and logistics. SinceĀ a major client of the company decided to take care of their own distribution and logistical needs the facility in Opglabbeek has seen a significant reduction in activity. Some employees may be offered a transfer to a facility in The Netherlands but at the time of reportingĀ more concrete plans have not been communicated.
