Marks & Spencer has announced plans to close 14 of its struggling stores in a move which will result in the loss of 468 jobs. The retailer has said that six of the fourteen stores will close in April 2018, with the remainder set for closure by the end of 2018. Consultation over the proposed closures is understood to be underway. The retailer has stated that it will try to offer redeployment to other sites wherever possible in order to avoid redundancies.
