Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Austrian manufacturer of solar protection systems Schlotterer Sonnenschutz Systeme GmbH, with headquarters in Salzburg, will hire 45 new employees by the end of 2018. Following an increase in revenue and export shares last year due to a growing demand from Germany and Hungary, Schlotterer will invest €5,5 million into expanding its production in Adnet (Salzburg). In addition to positions in technology and sales, new jobs will also come available in administrative services.
Already last year the company created 30 new jobs and currently employs 440 people. Schlotterer is one of the largest employers in the region.
