Description
The Commercial Court of Dijon has agreed the offer of partial take-over of the Chocolaterie de Bourgogne, which was in receivership since 31 October 2017. The Spanish group Ibercacao SA (Lacasa) has taken over the company for €500,000 and retains 65 of the 185 jobs. The Spanish group has committed not to relocate the activity. Lacasa, which manufactures chocolate and confectionery, employs 700 people in four factories in Spain and one in Portugal for an annual turnover of around €150 million. Dismissed employees have a re-employment priority of three years (one year by law). The decision of the court was expected in December, but it was postponed until Lacasa improved its offer, as its first proposal was to retain only 43 employees.
