Description

The management of the Salzgitter Mannesmann factory located in Vitry-le-François (Marne) has announced a reorganisation plan that provides for an investment plan of €15 million accompanied by a workforce adjustment. Until 2013, the site was the largest private employer in the area with 483 employees. The site currently employs 360 employees. Within 5 years, only 274 will remain. The site is specialized in the manufacture of metal tubes, particularly for the automotive sector. The investment plan is complemented by a voluntary departure plan to cut 86 positions.
