Description

Producer of meat and poultry products Animex has announced that it will close its production facility in Dębica. As a result, all 320 employees will be collectively dismissed in a redundancy programme which will be implemented between February and May 2018. The representative of the company revealed the unit is no longer profitable as it does not have its own slaughterhouse, and the equipment is technically outdated.

Animex was founded in 1951 as a state-owned enterprise. Currently the company is part of the Smithfield Group, a global food company.
