Accord Healthcare has opened its new factory in Fawdon, Newcastle Upon Tyne. The site currently has 60 staff in place and more are to be added over the coming months, with employment at the premises eventually set to reach between 350 and 500 jobs. The company manufactures pharmaceutical products including effervescent medicines. The company is currently looking to recruit for a range of roles across the business including laboratory roles and finance specialists. The expansion is part of a larger investment programme of GBP 60 million across its locations in the UK.
