Description
The German holiday and travel company TUI has announced it will create 175 new jobs at its call centre in Swansea. The company currently employs 280 people at the site, having expanded since its opening in 2015 with a staff of 48. The jobs will be supported by a grant of 525,000 GBP (€597,545 as per January 2018) from the Welsh Government's business grant scheme.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Government commented that the news of the new jobs was a significant indication of the quality of the local labour force. It is not known when the new jobs will be filled, though it has been reported that the recruitment process is underway.
