Description
Renault Trucks, a subsidiary of the Swedish group Volvo, has announced the creation of 100 jobs at its Blainville-sur-Orne (Calvados) plant, a site specialised in the production of medium-sized vehicles and truck cabs. The recruitments are scheduled for the next 18 months. The management has to cope with an increasing demand: therefore it has increased its production capacities and reinforced its organisation. The management committed to hire 20% of women on the total of new employees. The new employees will be recruited within the 460 temporary workers already working for the company.
A large restructuring measure took place at Renault in France, announced in early 2013 and in November and March 2014 that led to 508 job cuts. The last recorded restructuring was announced in 2015 (591 positions cut ). In March 2017, Renault Trucks announced 273 job creations including 100 at its Blainville-sur-Orne site.
