Description
Social Media company Facebook has announced plans to create 800 new jobs. The jobs will be based at its new London office and will be created throughout 2018. When all the new jobs are added Facebook will have a UK workforce of 2,300 employees. The new site in London is Facebook's largest hub outside the USA and will house technical staff such as engineers and developers as well as sales and marketing staff. Facebook's decision to expand in the UK has been seen as an indication of confidence in the UK economy, with figures including the Chancellor of the Exchequer welcoming the announcement.
