Description

The Swiss do-it-yourself retail chain Bauhaus has started the recruitment of 130 employees for its newly opening store in Venlo (south Netherlands), expected to open mid-2018. It is recruiting for a range of positions, including sales personnel, logistics personnel, and skilled construction personnel (e.g. tilers, painters, sanitary furniture specialists), on both full time and part time basis. Positions are open to entry-level as well as experienced workers, explicitly welcoming applicants over 50 years of age. The opening of the store was announced several years previous, but construction was delayed due to legal objections brought by companies in the immediate vicinity (including one other DIY store), which was eventually overruled by the Council of State.

Bauhaus is currently active in 17 countries across Europe. The store in Venlo will be Bauhaus' third in the Netherlands.
