On 13 December 2017, the French supermarket chain Carrefour has announced a creation of 100 jobs at its new store in Warsaw. The hypermarket, with an area of 2,000 m2, is the most digitalised store of the chain in Poland. The company has implemented many new m-commerce solutions at the unit.
Carrefour has been operating in Poland since 1997. Currently, the company has four logistics centres and almost 900 stores in five formats, including 88 large-scale shops. Carrefour employs approximately 12,000 people across the country.
