Description

Cimos, an international supplier of auto parts with five plants in Slovenia and six in Croatia, announced a collective dismissal of 147 workers in Slovenia. Cimos, a former state-owned company, was bought by the Italian group Palladio Holding in May 2017. Since then the sales revenue has decreased. The majority of workers who are going to be dismissed are from the plant Senožeče, as part of its production will be delocalized to Croatia, but other plants in Vuzenica, Maribor and Koper will be affected as well. Out of 147 workers, 25 are administrative workers. The company management and the trade union at the employer will start negotiations about redundancy selection criteria in the beginning of December 2017. Cimos now employs 3,361 workers altogether, of which 1,244 in Slovenia.
