Description
Matines, a subsidiary of the Avril group, has announced a reorganisation plan to move egg production from chicken kept in cages to eggs from free range chickens. This plan aims to adapt to changes in consumer demand, as consumers are turning away from eggs produced in cages. The implementation of this plan could lead to job cuts with the closure of the site at Branges (58 employees, Saône-et-Loire) and the specialisation of part of the activities of the site at Naizin (Morbihan). The management plans a total of 72 job cuts. Reemployment will be proposed within the Avril group as well as reclassification.
