Description
The fashion retail chain Lindex announced it will reduce 60 jobs, mainly from its headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, where the company has some 400 employees. The reductions are part of a savings programme aiming at cutting expenses by SEK 100 million (€10.3 million) in 2018. The underlying reason for the savings programme is weakened sales, which followed from changing consumer behaviour, the company says.
Lindex is owned by the Finnish Stockmann department store chain, which has faced hardship in recent years.
