Description
Brewer Carlsberg has announced that it is to close its warehouse operations in Croydon, South London which will result in the loss of 140 jobs. The site is leased by the company from the Crown Estate and the lease will not be renewed. Carlsberg will now outsource its warehousing and delivery work to DHL and there may be some opportunity for workers to join the new company, though at present all 140 staff have been put at risk of redundancy. The site is due to close on 6 October 2017.
