Description
The consortium Smovengo, which was awarded the tender to manage the bike sharing service in the Paris region for a 15-years period, has announced the recruitment of over 300 employees on permanent employment contract in the region Ile-de-France. In a statement, Smovengo announced that 'the applications of the employees of Cyclocity, the operator of the current Vélib service managed by the company JCDecaux (previous contractor), will be given priority'. Smovengo, a consortium created by four companies (Smoove, Indigo, Mobivia, Moventia) doesn't have to take over their employment contract, but it will "offer them salary conditions equivalent to those they now have at Cyclocity", according to the management. Currently Clyclocity has 315 employees who are at risk of loosing their position when the current service contract ends.
