Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Grid Software Solutions, the software solutions centre of US-owned General Electric (GE), is to hire 100 new people at its Bucharest centre by the end of 2018. The new positions are open to engineers and specialists in software, system services or design. Currently, the Bucharest centre has 130 employees who are specialised in technical assistance for projects — integration, software development and testing of software solutions.
The GE team is responsible for developing IT systems for energy markets for Europe, North and South America, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.
The company has an employee base of 1,000 in Romania.
General Electric entered the Romanian energy market in 1984.
