Description

The American fast food restaurant chain McDonald's is recruiting around 300 new employees to its restaurants across Finland during autumn 2017. More staff is needed as the company's sales increased by 12% and the number of customers by 10% during the first half of 2017. Some of the new employees will replace students who at this point in the year quit their jobs to go back to school.

Competition in the Finnish fast food sector has tightened in recent years as several new fast food chains have started operations in the country. McDonald's sales weakened significantly and several less profitable units were closed down. However, this autumn a new restaurant with 45 employees will open in Helsinki.
