German manufacturer of industrial automation components ifm ecolinks, a subsidiary of ifm electronic, has announced that it will increase employment by 11%, which means that 50 new jobs will be created at the plant in Opole (Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone). The company is currently building a new production facility which is expected to be operational by the end of 2017; the investment will cost PLN 13 million (EUR 3.03mn, USD 3.59mn).
The company is part of ifm electronic, which operates in more than 70 countries around the world. In Poland, the company has been operating since 2011 and employs 450 people. The company specialises in the production of sensors and controls for industrial automation.
