European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Meat producer Tulip, a subsidiary of the Danish Crown Group, has announced that it is to cut 118 jobs. The losses will come from the site in King's Lynn, Norfolk which currently employs 570 staff. According to a spokesperson for the company, the business is currently operating at a loss due to loss of orders and the decision to cut jobs is intended to secure the longer-term future of the business. As part of the restructure, the business will change from operating seven days per week to five. There is no information about when the job losses will take effect, though it is being reported that the statutory consultation period is already underway.
