Description
DIY chain Bunnings has announced plans to create 1,000 jobs. The Australian retailer, which owns the Homebase brand, will have 20 pilot stores in the UK by the end of 2017. This is double the originally expected 10 stores, and is in response to a positive reception from customers to stores that have already been opened. The pilot stores will be launched in a range of locations and will include both smaller and larger stores. The success, or otherwise, of the pilot stores will inform the chain's future investment strategy.
