Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Belfast based digital technology company Neueda has announced plans to create 165 new jobs at its premises in south Belfast. The company already employs 200 people and the latest expansion is being backed by economic development agency Invest NI. Of the new roles that will be created, 130 are technical roles ranging from graduate entry level to experienced software engineers. The remaining 35 posts will be for consulting and project delivery roles, as well as sales positions. Salaries for the new jobs will average at just under GBP 34,000 (€38,500). The timeframe for the expansion has not been reported.
