Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Warszawa Local Government has announced that it will cut about 2,100 jobs in the local schools. The source reported that the restructuring programme will affect 1,200 teachers and 900 administrative employees. The most affected groups among teachers are physical education, English, Polish and math teachers. The employment status of another 7,000 teachers will be changed as they will be employed on a part-time basis. The restructuring programme is associated with the education reform which will be implemented in September 2017. Currently, Warszawa Local Government employs about 25,900 teachers and about 12,200 administrative employees in the local schools.
