Description
The Austrian family-owned company Banner, manufacturer of batteries, is investing €35 million in its production site in Leonding and Pasching (Upper Austria) creating 200 new jobs. In Pasching a new assembly line and a warehouse will be established, in Leonding the production site will be expanded. The company had to change initial expansion plans to create a second production site after opposition form local residents emerged fearing lead poisoning of the environment and demanded an impending environmental impact assessment which the company tried to avoid.
