Ready meal manufacturer Charlie Bigham's has announced plans to open a new production plant at Dulcote Quarry, between Wells and Shepton Mallet in Somerset. The manufacturer, which produces meals for supermarkets including Waitrose and Sainsbury's, has started recruitment and aims to have 120 staff engaged by August 2017, with the number of jobs eventually rising to 300, when the site becomes fully operational. There will be a recruitment open day on 5 July 2017 when potential applicants can learn more about the business.
