Description
Ducatt, a Belgian producer of specialised glass products situated in Lommel has announced its closure. In total 144 employees will lose their jobs, 113 blue collar and 31 white collar workers. The main factor that led to the closure has been the bankruptcy application of German company SolarWorld, which was responsible for half of the orders Ducatt received. Trade union representatives are highly critical indicating that there has been no communication with the employees by company management.
