Description

On 11 May 2017, Volkswagen, Europe's largest car producer announced to create 600 new jobs in Wolfsburg, Germany. These new positions will be created at the company's newly opened IT department. Volkswagen wants to expand the IT knowledge of the company due to digitalisation.

The company is looking for both soft and hardware experts. The new IT site in Wolfsburg is offering space for 1,500 employees. About 800 employees moved already to the new building. In 2016, Volkswagen announced to cut up to 23,000 jobs in Germany (Volkswagen, 2016).

Volkswagen employs about 15,000 IT experts worldwide.
