Description
Swiss food producer Nestlé has announced that it will relocate 300 jobs from its UK’s production facilities to Poland. The process of relocation will be implemented in 2017-2018; in the UK, nearly 300 jobs will be cut in factories in four locations: York, Halifax, Girvan and Fawdon. The company has also announced that Blue Riband biscuit production will be transferred to Poland. The restructuring aims to improve financial and organisational effectiveness of the company, the trade union claims the decision has been influenced by the Brexit.
