Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Dutch wholesale chain Makro Poland has announced that it will create 100 new jobs at its new logistic centre in Pruszków. The centre, with an area of 10,000 m2, is expected to be operational in the second quarter of 2017. The chain has already started the recruitment process.
In 2016, the company implemented a restructuring programme affecting 681 jobs at its units across Poland.
Makro Poland has been operating in Poland since 1994. Currently, the company has 8 logistics parks (Poznań, Lublin, Teresin, Wrocław, Czeladź, Gliwice and two in Pruszków) and 30 wholesale stores across the country.
