Description

The French subsidiary of a Danish company Grundfos, specializing in the manufacturing of heating pumps, has announced a restructuring that will lead to a job reduction of 82 positions on a total workforce of 550 employees. The plant has to cope with a sharp global competition on the market of boilers equipment. The voluntary departure plan has been presented to the works' council at the beginning of April. The first departures are expected in September 2017. In 2102, Grundfos announced an investment plan that led tothe recruitment of 150 employees at its plant in Longeville-lès-Saint-Avold , where 700 people were employed. In 2014 the group has invested €20 million in the plant to adapt it to new EU norms. The Grundfos Group employs 18,500 employees worldwide for a global turnover of €3,32 billion in 2016.
