Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
WeFix, a French start up specialised in the repair of computers and smart phones, has announced the recruitment of 200 employees in 2017 to open 100 new outlets in France. WeFix has now concluded a round of requests for investors to develop its activities in France with 100 new outlets in 2017. It will doubled its workforce with the hiring of managers and technicians. Created in 2012, the company started to work for the maintenance of mobile phone for companies before enlarging its activities in 2015 to the consumer market. Its turnover has increased from €400,000 to €15 million in two years. So far, WeFix has recruited and trained 150 employees in Belgium, France and Germany.
