Description
Marshall Aviation Services has confirmed that it intends to close its operations in Broughton in North East Wales. The company, which provides various maintenance services for aircraft, and which has been operating at the site for over 80 years had announced plans in March 2017 to close the site. Unsuccessful efforts were made to find a buyer for the business, and the company confirmed in April 2017 its intention to close. A period of consultation with employees was started in March 2017 and has yet to conclude. The company operates a number of other sites in the UK, which will not be affected by the closure at Broughton.
