Description
American automotive seating and electrical manufacturer Lear Corporation is ceasing production of car seat covers in Hungary in its Mór factory, laying off 800 employees. Operating since 1993, the Mór facility will gradually wind down production by the end of the year, its activities will be moved moved to Lear's other foreign factories with lower labor costs. Lear Corporation Hungary has three other factories, the ones in Gödöllő and Gyöngyös produce car wiring parts, while the Győr facility produces whole car seats – these factories will keep operating. As of February 2017, Lear Corporation employed 3240 people in Hungary.
