Description
Polish manufacturer of trams and underground trains Alstom Konstal, a subsidiary of French industrial group Alstom, has announced that it will create 200 new jobs at its unit in Chorzów by the end of 2017. The company plans to hire about 25 designers and engineers as well as recruit production staff, especially electricians, mechanists and welders. The restructuring programme is associated with the large contracts which have been already signed by Alstom Konstal with the contractor from Saudi Arabia and Dutch railway operator.
Alstom Konstal was founded in 1864 and it has been part of Alstom Group since 1997. In Chorzów Alstom Konstal employs 1,100 people.
