Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Ficomirrors Poland, a subsidiary of the Spanish multinational group Ficosa, has announced that it will create about 500 jobs at its new production hall in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Katowice Special Economic Zone, Poland). The new hall has an area of 12,000 m2 and consists of aluminium foundry and warehouse.
Ficosa produces systems and parts for the automotive industry. Ficomirrors has been operating in Poland since 2006 and specialises in manufacturing of car mirrors and car sprinkler systems. Currently, the company employs over 700 workers in the factory in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
