Sartorius, a leading international pharmaceutical and laboratory equipment supplier, has announced an investment plan of EUR 23 million in R&D in its plant of Aubagne. This plan will lead to recruit 200 employees by 2018 to reach 900 employees at the end of 2018. The investment plan is financially supported by the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (EUR 5 millions) and the metropole of Aix-Marseille Provence (EUR 2 million). The site reached a turnover of EUR 140 million in 2016. It produces mainly single-use bio process bags for the preparation, storage and transport of biopharmaceutical solutions, intermediates and final bulk products.
