Description
A new Sainsbury's supermarket that is scheduled to open in May 2017 in Liverpool will create 220 new full- and part-time jobs ranging from retail to catering. The recruitment drive to fill these positions is already underway. The supermarket is located in a newly developed district centre, which is part of a larger regeneration project in North Liverpool, led by Liverpool City Council.
Sainsbury’s, the UK’s second largest chain of supermarkets, is also involved in a similar area regeneration project in Cambridge. In early March 2017, the company also announced it would be cutting 400 price controller jobs across its network of stores.
