Description
The health consortium of municipalities in the Päijät-Häme region (in Finnish: Päijät-Hämeen hyvinvointiyhtymä) has initiated co-determination negotiations aiming to cut 200 jobs primarily within administration and support functions. Redundancies are due to a savings scheme of €7 million where administrative and support functions will be shared between the health consortium of municipalities in the Päijät-Häme region, the social and health sector of the city of Lahti and the health care centre Oiva. The three organisations currently have individual administration and support functions leading to inefficiencies within the administrative branches of the organisations.
