Description
British global retailer Tesco has announced that it will cut 700 jobs via collective dismissal programme. The restructuring programme is associated with the plan to close down two stores in Olecko and Piotrków Trybunalski as well as close e-commerce platforms in some cities across the country. The conditions of the programme will be negotiated with the local trade unions. The company said it will try to minimise direct dismissals by offering positions in other operational areas and locations.
Tesco has been operating in Poland since 1992 and currently operates over 400 stores in the country and employs nearly 30,000 people.
