Description
Bimbo has dismissed 160 workers who had the status of economically dependent self-employment (TRADE) and were in charge of transportation activities in the following regions: the Basque Country region, Navarra, La Rioja and Argaón. Dismissed workers have carried out a demonstration demanding their re-admission and denouncing that 800 delivery workers could be dismissed in the following days. Dismissed workers report they were dismissed as a consequence of 14 strike days aiming to denounce the decrease in their turnover.
Bimbo bought the company Panrico 8 months ago and the restructuring measures are associated to this merger.
