Description

Miele, the manufacturer of household appliances, is planning to cut up to 450 jobs in Germany. The management announced to implement the job cuts though age-related retirement and wants to avoid direct dismissals. These measurements will be implemented within the next years.

Miele also announced plans for a new plant for washing machines in Poland with 350 new positions. Miele, headquartered in Gütersloh employs about 10,500 staff members in Germany and 19,000 worldwide.
