Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Jasplastik-SK plans to create jobs for 140 people in its plant in Nitra-Sever industrial park by the end of 2017. The producer of plastic components and polystyrene products, mainly supplied to electric and automotive industries, is investing €17.6 million in the expansion between 2016 and 2018. Five new halls will be added to the existing premises. The business expansion is attributed to the increase in production of components supplied to Foxconn Slovakia. Other main customers of Jasplastik-SK are SAMSUNG Electronics Slovakia, FINE DNC SLOVAKIA, SMP Automotive Solutions Slovakia and SMP Deutschland GmbH. The investment will be supported with a state subsidy of €3.9 million.
