European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Cora, a Belgian chain of supermarket stores active across Wallonia, has announced a reduction of 120 employees. The company management announced a plan including cost saving measures intended to make the company viable again. The management says that these measures are necessary as 2016 was a difficult year for most of the company's stores. No employees will face direct dismissals. Instead the reduction in staff will be achieved by non replacement of retiring employees and voluntary departures.
