Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Technology company Ricoh plans to create 110 jobs in Dublin over the next three years. The roles will be in technical engineering, software solutions, business development and operations management. Ricoh provides document services, consulting services as well as software and hardware to businesses and currently employs 80 people in Ireland with its plant in Swords, Co Dublin. The new expansion is enabled through a €6.4 million investment. Revenue is forecast to double to €32 million by 2020. Ricoh's headquarters is in Japan.
