Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Polish producer of rolling stocks Newag has announced that it will create 150 new jobs at its unit in Nowy Sącz. The company is looking for welders, electricians, paint shop workers, assemblers, mechanists, engineers and design engineers. The recruitment programme is associated with the new contracts which has been won by the company. Last year the company relocated its production from Gliwice to Nowy Sącz cutting 107 jobs.
Newag has been operating since 1876 in Nowy Sącz. The company is specialising in the production, maintenance and modernization of railway rolling stock. In September 2016, Newag employed over 1,600 people.
